It was definitely the right thing to tell him. You did NOTHING wrong. But, I think instead of it being over facebook...you need to talk to him in person first. Or if that's not possible, than at least on the phone. So you can hear the tone in his voice. Whether he's annoyed, or nervous, or whatever it may be. My mom is the same exact way with boys. Even though I was seventeen last year when me and my boyfriend started dating, she insisted on meeting him first. Some parents just want to know before, which I don't think is bad. But, if he can't deal with that..than he may just not be right for you. He should be able to respect the rules of your family. Or, he could just be nervous! So, just talk it out with him. Good luck!
