Okay well honestly....its a good thing that you told him that your mom wants to meet him because thats obviously completely reasonable! But the fact that he got a little weird and left the conversation and replied slower is kinda something you should watch out for. I mean obviously he would feel pressured but its just a normal thing that people who are dating eventually have to go through. To me, it sounds like he's a little iffy about the date. I think you need to actually confirm with him. Ask him and be like "Ok it sounds liek you don't wanna go/won't show up. Can you just confirm with me that youre gonna be there for sure?" I dont know it doesnt sound like a good situation but go with whatever you want thats my opinion!
